I've never wanted to murderThere are squirrels on New York Street.
Fearless little bastards,
nothing like their shy country cousins,
who only assault bird feeders, no,
this breed with a history of pelted acorns
has begun to attack birds, specifically
the migrant geese who rule, de facto,    
the downtown campus commons

This depicts the Norse myth that tells us where earthquakes come from. Bad acid venom snake! Fortunately, Sigyn is here to save us (and her freakishly strong giant husband) with her handy dandy bowl.

This is, in a way an illustration for Sigyn:
Sigyn and Loki wait in the damp twilit cave, listening to the eerie echoes of each poison drip and the sound of their own breathing. Sigyn holds a wooden bowl over Loki’s face. Slowly, it fills with the venom of a snake coiled on the rock ceiling. When the bowl is brimming, Sigyn carries it away to empty into a rock basin—a fermenting pool of poison. Loki is left unguarded; he screws up his eyes. The snake does not wait. Its venom splashes on to Loki’s face and in torment he shudders and writhes. He cannot escape, and the whole earth quakes in his struggles.

i mean common...he treatet loki like sh**, he rode on his own grandson for petessake @_@ (as confusing as it is)

what a about your art?...its AWESOME ...really its amasingly done...love the color..the theme and the structure of it...it totally wow-ed me XD

Can't believe I missed this comment. Yes. On the dot. These are my thoughts exactly. If I am ever asked to explain what a self-fulfilling prophecy is, I answer "Ragnarok".

Thanks for the art comments too. It was an experiment, and I had a lot of fun puzzling it out.

Yep, but those are only the itty bitty, "oh look, the ground kinda shivered" quakes. The ones that mobilize international relief efforts are from when the bowl becomes full and Sigyn must leave to empty it. The accompanying story may get the point across a little better.

Oh, it is indeed.
But, perhaps it is a subconscious allusion to the acceptance of fate in the realization of the fulfillment of Ragnarök prophecy. ;D Hehehe.
